Starscream Hates Megatron

NOTE: The person who came up with this theory is actually an intelligent person (which is why I don't scoff at her... much). However, I don't agree with her reasons, but evidence shows that she actually used logic while finding this evidence, unlike the people who think that Starscream is gay. So praise and worship her for being logical, and know that this section is mostly opinionated. Don't get me wrong, I actually admire this person, but there are a lot of things I don't agree with her on. But, being the halfway decent person that I am, I don't let our difference of opinion get in the way.

1) In "War Of The Dinobots" at the end of the episode, Starscream warns Megatron about the meteor.

Starscream probably figured that Megatron had seen the meteor and was simply advertising the fact that he was leaving. However, Megatron had not noticed the meteor (he'd have to be pretty darn stupid not to see it) and looked at Starscream as if to say "OK, let's go." It's actually pretty common that someone would shout something like that to someone else out of instinct. Then they kick themselves later for it when they could have been rid of them. I know, I've done it before.

2) Megatron has given Starscream a million second chances.

Cuz he's stupid? Maybe he liked to keep Starscream around for amusement. Or maybe it's like it states clearly in his Tech Spec: "Megatron overlooks the potential threat that Starscream represents for one reason: Starscream is very good at his job." It could be that the creators of the show liked Starscream, after all, they bring him back as a ghost in the post-movie episodes. They didn't have to, but they did.

3) Starscream was complimenting Megatron in "Heavy Metal War."

If someone suddenly had all your weapons and was super-strong, you'd kiss up to them too. :þ

4) Starscream never killed Megatron when he had the chance.

He was probably savoring the expression on Megatron's face and then got distracted. Perhaps he doesn't really want to kill Megatron because thinks he doesn't need to (when actually he does). And when he gets the chance to get rid of Megatron in the movie, he most certainly does. Right out the spaceship he goes!

5) Starscream wanted Megatron's approval for a mission well-led in "Divide And Conquer."

If I led a mission well, I'd demand a compliment, too! This is Megatron's problem right here. He doesn't want to admit that Starscream does a good job, so Starscream tries to get it out of him, but Megatron's too stubborn.
